Two of Silicon Valley's stars were harassed over their opposition to Trump

Following the results of this week’s presidential election, there has been a rise in violence and harassment between the supporters of President-elect Donald Trump and his opponents. Earlier today, Silicon Valley stars Kumail Nanjiani and Thomas Middleditch took to Twitter to report that they had been harassed over their opposition to Trump.

Nanjiani noted that he and Middleditch had gone out to a bar in Los Angles, where they were approached by a pair Trump supporters who proceeded to get in their faces before being kicked out by the establishment’s staff.

Middleditch likewise reported the interaction on his own account:

Nanjiani and Middleditch were both outspoken about their opposition to the President-elect throughout the campaign.

Since the results of this week’s election, there has been a rise in hate crimes and attacks. There have been wide-spread reports of racially motivated violence and intimidation, such as a group of black students at the University of Pennsylvania being subjected to racial slurs on GroupMe, while some Trump supporters have themselves been attacked for their support of the President-elect.
