This is the least helpful Twin Peaks announcement ever

Are you excited about David Lynch’s upcoming Twin Peaks series for Showtime? So are we! Are you curious about when you’ll be able to watch it? So are we! Is there any new information as to when that will be? Kind of!

Vulture reports that during a conference call with reporters today, network president David Nevins announced that the current plan is for the series to premiere in the second quarter of 2017. Which, given that the previous plan was for it to debut in the first half of 2017, is still pretty much the same plan. Except now we know that Showtime will likely be positioning Twin Peaks against Game of Thrones. Possibly. Unless the plan changes. You never know.
